I have been so lucky to be able to sleep in until 8:30 every morning with the girls sleeping 12 hours a night, but this morning we were up at 6:00 with two very cranky girls. I could tell Mikayla didn't feel well and was running a temp and with each passing hour she was getting warmer and more hysterical. I finally persuaded Zach to come home early and watch Kaitlyn so I could take Mikayla to the doctors. He decided he would drop me off and take Kaitlyn to work instead.
I walked into the clinic and Mikayla lost it, she was screaming at the top of her lungs and I was ready to find a corner and cry when all of a sudden she puked all over me! If that wasn't bad enough every one was just staring including the nurses and there was no bathroom in sight so I looked at one of the nurses and sort of shouted "can someone help me??" So of course they rushed me to the bathroom while Mikayla continued screaming and along the way succeeded in puking all over the both of us three more times. That had to be one of the worst experiences, I had no idea how to get the mess cleaned up since we didn't have any extra set of clothes and really nothing could be done but to strip her down and for me to sit there smelly and wet for the rest of her appointment. I was so grateful for this one nurse who stayed with me in the bathroom, she helped clean us up and also helped me keep a level head! When we were finished she looked at me and said " Welcome to motherhood" hahaha I thought I had seen it all but I was definitely wrong.

stupid park!
We have a park down the street that we take the girls to a couple times a week. Normally it is a nice chance to let the girls burn off some energy and hang out with other kids but yesterday it was a disaster. Mikayla was playing in some dirt or so we thought until she started screaming hysterically, by the time Zach got to her she was covered in fire ants and he had to strip her down to get them all off. The poor baby has over 30 bite marks on her hand alone!! She eventually calmed down and we decided to stay but not long after Kaitlyn was catapulted off the bridge by another child and she landed face first into the ground. I hate it when my kids get hurt and after that I had had enough. I thought parks were supposed to be safe but I guess next time I will be even more cautious than I already am.

Lost Child
This morning I left the girls in the living room while I went to find them some clothes to wear for the day, when I came back a few minutes later I couldn't find Mikayla. I could hear her talking occasionally but it sounded like she was outside or stuck in a bedroom. Knowing that all the doors were shut and there was no way she could get outside. I was confused, so as a joke I asked Kaitlyn where her sister was (as if she could talk back and tell me) but to my surprise she ran and opened a cupboard and there sat Mikayla hugging a bottle of vegetable oil. I'm glad they keep close tabs on each other because I'm not sure if I would have searched in there for her!

Labor day weekend
This weekend went by way too fast I hate to see Zach go back to work! Saturday we took the girls to the children's museum in Columbia, it was a lot of fun but insane to keep up with the two of them. I hardly saw Zach because the girls were running in opposite directions! :) Sunday we took the girls to the pool and tried cleaning out our spare bedroom for Kemela. We still have a lot to move out of there but it should be done by the end of this month when she shows up. Labor day we spent the day at the beach with Curtis, Emily and Tommy I can't believe I have family living here now!! The beach was insane due to the hurricanes hitting around us, the high tide was a little too dangerous for the kids so we mostly spent the day playing in the sand. This weekend they will be coming up here to visit for my birthday I'm excited to get a chance to get to know Tommy, ever since he was born I have been living in a different state. Anyhow the pictures I'm posting are from Saturday at the museum.
